Accessibility statement
Accessibility statement — IL Safety Academy
This statement describes the accessibility of IL Safety Academy's services as actually tested: what it covers, which standard applies, which accessibility features exist, how and when accessibility was tested, and how to contact us.
Operator and scope of this statement
Operator: IL Safety Academy (ilsafety.com).
This statement covers:
- The public website: the home page, the training solutions page, the privacy policy, the terms of use and this statement.
- The worker path: the training invitation link, the workers' portal at each company's address, the “My trainings” page and the training player — confirming details, slides and narration, in-slide questions, safety games, the final exam, the declaration and signature, the completion screen and the PDF certificate.
- The company portal for training managers.
- The PDF documents the service produces — the completion certificate, the training file, signature and attendance forms, training attestations and reports — and PDF files uploaded for use in the service.
It does not cover the operator's internal administration console, which is not open to the public, or a mobile app that is not distributed to the public.
Standard and level of conformance
The requirements for internet services in Israel are set by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to Service) Regulations, 5773-2013. The applicable standard is Israeli Standard IS 5568 Part 1, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines, at Level AA. Documents are covered by Part 2 of the standard.
The service has been adapted to the requirements of IS 5568 Part 1 at Level AA. The review described below found no open defects in the pages, paths and documents this statement covers. Our testing also applies the WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA test rules.
The PDF documents the service produces pass veraPDF's automated check of the PDF/UA-1 rules that software can verify, and each type of document was also reviewed manually. An automated check cannot decide whether alternative text is meaningful or whether the reading order makes sense, so we do not claim full conformance with the PDF/UA standard; what software cannot decide, we checked by hand.
Accessibility features
The service has the following features. Each was checked in the testing described in the next section:
- The whole worker path can be completed with a keyboard alone, from the invitation link to downloading the certificate. Signing also works without a mouse: choose “Type your full name”, and the signature is stored in the record with a note that it was typed.
- The safety games can be played with a keyboard: every answer is a button, and image-based games have a list of areas or a button named after each hazard, so there is no need to click a point on the picture.
- A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page, and a clearly visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
- Form fields have labels, and error messages are shown as text and announced by screen readers.
- Pop-up windows — such as the transcript, the image description and the accessibility menu — move focus into themselves, close with the Escape key and return focus to where they were opened.
- In the training player, when a new stage opens — a slide, the exam, the exam result, the declaration or the completion screen — focus moves to that stage's heading and screen readers announce it; the result of an in-slide question (correct or not) is announced as well.
- The page language and text direction are set in each of the site's seven languages: Hebrew, Russian, English, German, Spanish, Arabic and Amharic.
- Text colour contrast was measured on the pages tested and meets the required ratio: 4.5:1, or 3:1 for large text.
- The layout adapts to a 320-pixel screen width and to 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- When a slide has narration, the narrated text is available as a “Full transcript”, and on some slides also as synchronised captions. Narration can be paused and played again.
- There is no time limit for answering exam questions.
- Before an automatic sign-out from the company portal because of inactivity, a message appears with an option to stay signed in.
- The site respects the operating system's “Reduce motion” setting. The “Accessibility settings” menu offers larger text, high contrast, link highlighting and reduced motion; the menu is an addition to, not a substitute for, the accessibility built into the site itself.
- The PDF documents the service produces are tagged for accessibility: they have a document title and language, headings, tables with column and row headers, and alternative text for signatures and images, and design elements — frames, backgrounds and page numbers — are marked so that screen readers skip them.
- Certificates, attendance forms and training attestations produced before 4 October 2026 are delivered on download as an accessible copy of the same document, which looks exactly like the original; the original document is kept unchanged.
- A PDF file uploaded for use in the service — for example a procedure distributed to workers — is not published until it has passed three checks: an automated check, a veraPDF check, and a manual review by the operator of its alternative text, reading order, headings and tables.
How and when accessibility was tested
The most recent review was carried out in October 2026. It is an internal review by the operator, not a review by a certified service-accessibility auditor (מורשה לנגישות השירות). It included:
- Automated testing with axe-core and Lighthouse of the public pages in all seven languages at widths of 1280, 640 and 320 pixels, of the company portal pages, and of every stage of the training player.
- Contrast measurement of every text element, using the colours the browser actually displayed.
- A complete walk through the worker path using only the keyboard, and playing every type of safety game using only the keyboard.
- Testing with the NVDA screen reader (version 2026.2) in a Chromium browser on Windows 11: the complete worker path — from the invitation link, through the slides, the in-slide question, the exam, the declaration and signature, to the completion screen — as well as this statement, the accessibility menu and the workers' portal sign-in form.
- Testing in the Chromium (Chrome), Firefox and WebKit (Safari's browser engine, in its Windows build) browsers.
- Checking the PDF documents with veraPDF (version 1.30.2) against the PDF/UA-1 rules, and a manual reading of the structure of each type of document in the order in which a screen reader reads it.
Not tested: the JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack screen readers; Safari on Apple devices; and physical mobile devices — the mobile layout was tested by emulating screen widths only.
Content supplied by customers
Some training content — presentations, images, videos and text — is supplied by the companies that use the service. The system lets alternative text, an extended image description and narration text (shown as a transcript) be added to this content. If a particular piece of content is not accessible to you, contact us and we will provide an alternative.
Contacting us about accessibility
If you have difficulty using the service, or need an adjustment in a training or an exam, contact us. We review every request and, where needed, provide an alternative way to receive the service while the fix itself is made. You may also send a notice of an accessibility defect under regulation 35א(ד)(1) of the Regulations.

Accessibility coordinator and exemptions
Under section 19מב of the Law, the duty to appoint an accessibility coordinator applies to anyone employing at least 25 employees. IL Safety Academy is run by a sole operator with no employees, so no accessibility coordinator has been appointed; accessibility enquiries are handled directly by the operator.
No exemption from accessibility adjustments has been granted to the service.
